Why are people still acting like Cash4Clunkers was a good thing? The only thing the program stimulated was Japan’s economy. We took thousand of Americans without auto loans and put them in debt. It’s only a matter of time until the wave of repossessions hits. Watch http://www.repofinder.com in the next few months. The auto industry will ultimately be hurt by this.

My 1998 Ford Contour conked out on the Blue Route on June 30. Davico’s Auto Body charged @$720 just for a “compression check” and to have a timing belt put on, which had been done back in October. A new transmission would have been an extra $2,500, even though I’d previously been told that the worst case scenario would be $2,500.

I had no clue around July 8 about the “cash for clunkers program” when I got a 2009 Hyundai Accent, and that was a “used car” but only with 700+ miles on it, so I guess I’m too late to get any kind of rebate from the govt.

DOES THIS PROGRAM ALSO REQUIRE THAT THEY CHECK CREDIT HAVING AND ALL THE THINGS THE DEALER CHECKS OUT WHEN YOU BUY A NEW VEHICLE? IS YOUR CREDIT GOOD ENOUGH? AND LIKE HOW LONG AT JOB? HOW MUCH YOU MAKE YEARLY? AND ALL THAT STUFF, I CANT FIND THAT INFO ANYWHERE??? PLEASE HELP?

i should have bought a million dollar house that i knew i could’t afford.should have bought a truck that gets 2mpg.that way someone could pay for my stuff.if you try too do the right thing you get penalized.you can see my car doesen’t qualify,this is another get rewarded for bad behavior program.
