SiPort is a Semi-Conductor company that is based in the Silicon Valley. As part of cost cutting measures, the company recently laid off some of its employees. Jing Hua Wu ,a Lead Product Test Engineer, was among the employees who were let go. Wu was unhappy with this move of the company and in a fit of rage shot SiPort’s CEO, Sid Agarwal, and Vice President Of Operations, Brian Pugh.
Sid Agarwal is from India and held an Electrical Engineering degree from IIT-Kanpur. He also held a MBA degree from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Science from Southern Illinois University (SIU). Sid had founded SiPort in 2005 and received funding from many investors.
Jing Hua Wu (left) is said to have used a handgun during the shootings. Wu is of Asian descent, weighs about 170 Lbs and is 5 feet 11 inches tall. Wu is still at large and Police have launched a man hunt for him. Wu was last said to be in a silver four-door Mercury Mariner sport utility vehicle which bore a California license plate No. 6CJU602.
