They had beaten arch-rivals, New York Yankees, after trailing 0-3 in the ALCS series of 2004. We all know what happened after that. Looks like they are all set to pull this feat again. The Red Sox defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 6, 4-2, to force a game 7. The Red Sox never give up, do they?

Game 5 has been the most interesting of all the games in the ALCS, so far. The Red Sox were trailing 0-7 before a stunning comeback by the Boston hitters. What a game that was! The Rays won Games 2,3 and 4 and the momentum was with them. But after losing two games in a row, the Red Sox are licking their fingers as they hope to pull it off in game 7. Today’s game promises to be another nail biter and will definitely not be short on fireworks.

Red Sox star David Ortiz is confident that his team will come out victorious in the Do-Or-Die game 7 of the ALCS. A Yahoo Sports article quoted him – “We’ve been in there before, and we know what it takes to win games,” Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz said. “It’s not easy. It’s not like we like to be in the situation. But I guess that’s the way destiny has been the past few years”.

Red Sox nation is soaking up all the fun and are hoping that their team will give them yet another year to cherish after years of disappointment in the previous century. Game 7 of the ALCS between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays will be played at Tampa and is scheduled to start at 8:07 ET. The game will be shown live on TBS.
