The City Of Houston is doing an extremely good job at providing continuous updates to its residents with regards to Hurricane Ike. ‘Houston Hide From the Wind’ (HoustonHideFromTheWind.Org) is an official website of the City Of Houston providing ‘Forecasted Maximum Sustained Wind Data’ From the Office Of Emergency Management.

Residents in Houston and surrounding areas should keep themselves updated with the latest on www.HoustonHideFromTheWind.Org. Evacuation orders and forecast of wind speeds are clearly provided on a Houston area zip code map and are updated as new evacuation orders and updates from the National Hurricane Center are received. As of yet, only zip codes in the Zone Coastal, Zone A and Zone B areas are being evacuated. Here is the latest zip code map update from the ‘Houston hide from the wind’ website.
