What a way to kick off the NFL’s Monday night football schedule. Two of the most popular rivalries in the game of football will be played out tonight. The Minnesota Vikings will play a Brett Favre less Green Bay Packers at Green bay followed by Mike Shanahan’s Denver Broncos taking the Oakland Raiders at Oakland.
The Minnesota Vikings with their star Adrian Peterson are hoping to win against the Green Bay Packers and their new QB Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay will be missing the most loved Packer ever, Brett Favre, who is now donning a New York Jets uniform. This game will be the first of the two ESPN Monday Night Football doubleheader games and is scheduled to start at 7 PM ET.
Denver Broncos will take on the Oakland raiders in the second game of the ESPN monday night football doubleheader. The Raiders have been Denver’s favorite punch bag in the last few seasons even though both teams won a game against each other last season. Game 1 of last season saw Mike Shanahan call the perfect Timeout in OT to make an Oakland field goal not count. Denver then beat the Oakland Raiders 23-20. The Raiders will put their newly acquired number one draft pick JaMarcus Russell to test as he makes his NFL debut on national television. the Broncos Raiders game will kick off at 10:15 PM ET.
