
Hurricane Gustav is now coming ashore and the good news is that gustav’s intensity is lesser than expected. Gustav is now a Category 2 Hurricane with its eye just west-southwest of Cocodrie, Louisiana.
Gustav is currently travelling at about 15 miles per hour and will further slow land as it moves inland. As the system moves further inward, it will weaken considerably. The winds accompanying Gustav at this moment are between 8- 100 miles per hour dangerous storm surge of 10 -14 feet.
