Wouldn’t it be really great if you could see two bright moons in the sky? If you were to believe some of the email forwards, that a lot of people have been receiving for the past 5 years since 2003, then you would try to look at the sky on the night of August 27 and wonder why you can’t see two moons in the sky.
Here is what the “Two Moons On August 27″ reads like.
27th Aug the Whole World is waiting for………….
Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky Starting August.
It will look as large as the full moon to the naked Eye. This will happen On Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be sure to watch The sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons. The Next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.
Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY Will ever see it again.
This email forward started circulating back in 2003, when the planet Mars came closer to Earth than it had ever come in thousands of years before. Even though Mars could be seen a little bigger than usual in the sky, it was no where close to the size of the moon. The next time that Mars will come this close to earth is probably another thousands of years away and we for sure will not be around to see that happen.
Btw, Please don’t forward this email to your friends. They will definitely not leave you alive for doing this to them.
