As per the official medal standing of the beijing olympics 2008 today, the nation of Paraguay is yet to win any medal at the Beijing 2008 Olympics. But Paraguay has already scored the gold medal in a contest of the hottest and sexiest athletes in Beijing. The gold medal has been won by Leryn Franco who is a Javelin thrower representing Paraguay.
After winning a number of bikini and beauty contests, Leryn Franco is being named the winner of the ‘Hottest Athlete’ contest by almost everyone on the internet. No one seems to be taking any interest in what she has done with her Javelin throwing abilities, even though there is not much to write about.
According to Wikipedia
Franco competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics for Paraguay where she was 21st in Group A and finished 42nd overall. At the 2008 Summer Olympics Franco again competed in the javelin representing Paraguay, where she finished next-to-last at 51st. Had she done her personal best (55.38 m = 181′ 8 3/8″) she would have placed 36th. During the Games’ opening ceremony she garnered some media attention because she is supper hott. Franco had previously been romantically linked with Jack Grisham, the vocalist of the California punk band.
As per the official Olympics Athlete Website Biography Page on Leryn Franco, she was born on March 1 1982 and currently weighs about 119 lbs (54 kilos). She finished 25th in the Women’s Javelin Throw Qualifying Round of group B.
