A new research study led by Standford University professor Richard M. Myers has confirmed by studying 938 individuals of 51 populations that modern humans first developed in Africa and spread from there to the rest of the world. They also traced Middle East population’s ancestry to both Africa and Europe. A close resemblance was also found between the Yakut population of Siberia and Native Indian Americans of North America. It is believed that Native Indians migrated from Siberia via a land bridge at a time of lower sea levels.
